Before
Shoutlet, Sway initiated social media marketing campaigns with
podcasting, RSS feeds, video syndication, and other Web 2.0 formats
using multiple tools, many of which were developed in-house. We knew
there was a better, more streamlined way to harness the power of social
media and distribute engaging marketing messages.
The
concept for Shoutlet was born. The first sketches of the program were
created by CEO Jason Weaver, who spontaneously jotted them down with
his son's crayons. Two years later, Sway officially launched Shoutlet
at the DEMOfall07 conference in San Diego.
Today
companies use this comprehensive Web 2.0 marketing tool to distribute
their own messages through email, RSS, podcasting, video, and SMS.
